Level 1 students explore painting, drawing, type tools, and filters. File types, size and resolution may be inappropriate for intended use.

This artist creates an original image, rather than a canned or appropriated one. The piece uses good shading and exhibits mastery of eye/hand coordination. 

This work was a tiff file saved at 72 dpi in indexed color. Tiff is the highest format resolution, while 72 dpi and indexed color are the lowest resolutions. The file could easily have been a gif, and taken up a fraction of the disk space.

This piece inspired a conversation on the necessity of assesing both art and technology. While this was one of the most original images shown, the artist with jaggy lines, is clearly still a novice in learning about the digital art form.
