The artist's conception of a bleeding planet is intriguing. It's an experiment in combining imagery, showing a rough use of tools and an uneven control of materials. The work looks like three separate pieces.  Here, the red is flat while the earth is 3 dimensional. Can't tell if the egg shape is intentional - with the zigzag as a crack in the shell. If not, is the red is supposed to be in front of or covering the earth, because the edge is 3 dimensional - but not the outlines. Were the highlights were added or scanned in?  How much of the work is original?
